Extreme Rarity

Allgemeine-SS dress aiguillettes 1937 pattern. Silver-aluminium wire aiguillettes with the double braids, silvered needles with stylised oakleaves and raised SS Runes motifs.

Condition report: Overall excellent towards near mint condition. Free from damage or fraying, and with a pleasant age darkening to the silvered needles.

Notes: Authorised from 1937, the Allgemeine-SS dress aiguillettes were a private purchase option. Few are known to survive post-war.

Provenance: From  the well known USA-based military antiques specialist, Craig Gottlieb. Sold by them in 2006  and in one London-based collection until consigned to ULRIC of ENGLAND. The aiguillettes are sold together with a Gottlieb COA.
